12th Annual RBA Pillsbury Bakers Plus Grand Champion Creative Decorating Competition

Cakes, drama and more—all live on the exhibit hall floor! Watch contestants showcase their best cake decorating skills while they compete head-to-head for the championship title. Held during the first two days of the event in front of a live audience on the trade show floor, the competition will be judged based on the following categories:

• Flowers and Sprays
• Wedding Cakes
• Rolled Fondant
• Custom Design Cakes
• Sculpted Cakes

The highest scoring individual, as determined by a panel of judges, will be awarded the coveted Pillsbury Bakers Plus Grand Champion Trophy, sponsored by General Mills. Gold, silver, and bronze medals will also be awarded for the highest three scores in each category. Over $14,000 in prize money will be awarded to competitors and their sponsoring bakeries and affiliates.

Think you have what it  takes to compete?  All contestants must be members of the Retail Bakers of America, must work full-time or part-time in a cake shop, retail or supermarket bakery and have a minimum of two years of decorating  experience. Contestants can enter by competing at their local RBA affiliate contest or by portfolio if they do business in an area not covered by a local affiliate. Application by portfolio must be postmarked by June 30, 2012. Contestants will be announced by July 15, 2012. Download the competitor application form  here.
